Metamaterials with negative permeability and permittivity, which don’t exist in nature, have attracted much attention in the past several years on account of their unique properties. The objective of this paper is to investigate a new design of periodic metamaterial structure for radar cross-section reduction that bandwidth-optimized, metamaterial absorber in the microwave regime. We will demonstrate the effects of the changing design parameters on resonance frequency of the structure. In order to obtain a better response of the magnetically resonant transmission such as its bandwidth and absorption, optimization of the metamaterial is needed.
