The study of physical parameters such as temperature, salinity and density of sea water and its effects on the propagation of sonar on marine water layers are responsible for a significant roles to the surface and subsurface combat units navigation. The surface and subsurface combat units of the strategic Iran's Army Navy in order to do effectively and rapidly actions in the vast ocean and waters around the world require the use of new methods to study the distribution of the physical parameters of temperature and salinity, and density of sea water in order to use the sonar more efficiently and more accurately in operations. In this paper an attempt has been made to study the distribution of these physical parameters and their effects on the propagation of acoustic waves in Indian Ocean and Makran Sea and also to introduce the new methods and new technologies in measuring these physical parameters.
