The importance of corrosion discussion in flying boats is higher than in ships and aircrafts. In the marine vehicles by choosing the marine aluminum which is the most important method in corrosion problem reduction, this problem is reduced to an acceptable level. Otherwise in airplane because of the higher safety level in its operation environment in comparison to sea environment, it has fewer problems in the corrosion point of view. In flying boats because of the special flying condition the corrosion problem is too much higher. In this vehicle because of the special design condition application of the marine aluminum is impossible and as in the aircrafts we have to use the higher stiffness aluminum as the 2024 and7075. Inother side these groups of alloys are too weak in corrosion resistance point of view, and are accessible to various kind of corrosion as pitting and crevice ones. In order to reduce the corrosion problems in flying boats special instruction in the design, manufacturing, maintenance, and service phase must be applied. In this article the effective factors on corrosion as materials selection, coating and using preventers, sealing application, applying the design hints, inspection of the corrosion, and cleaning of the vehicle is identified. A complete program in order to reduce the corrosion in flying boat is identified.
